Outstanding Alt Bridge

Alt Bridge School in Huyton are celebrating after receiving an outstanding specialist provision award for 11-19-year-olds.

The school supports pupils with complex learning needs and autistic spectrum conditions.

Headteacher Natalie Menagh, said: “We were delighted to win the Century Learning Spring Challenge 2020 award for the most questions answered, around 30,000 at the time, by our students out of all schools in our specialist provision category.

“We were identified in April as achieving this level of student engagement in online learning at the beginning of lockdown.

“Our online learning opportunities have continued to grow since then and our staff have worked continuously and creatively to engage our students in learning activities from home.
