Calling all performers, singers, actors, dancers, musicians, poets, magicians... in fact anyone with a talent to share! Applications are now open for you to take centre stage at this year’s prestigious Shine talent competition in Knowsley.

The Shine 2019 event takes place on Friday, 18 October and promises to be a fantastic evening of entertainment - and the search is now on for performers aged from 1 to 100 to be part of it.

So if you have a connection with Knowsley and you can sing, dance, act or perhaps you're a budding magician, gymnast, comedian, musician, poet or have some other act which will work well, then Shine 2019 could be for you.

Cllr Shelley Powell, Knowsley Council’s cabinet member for communities and neighbourhoods, said: “We know that there are some incredible talents out there in Knowsley - from musicians to magicians, artists to acrobats!

“Shine is a chance for anyone with a passion for entertaining to take to the big stage and show the whole borough what they can do... and who knows where it might lead?”
