Family Wellbeing Day set for Kirkby

Tiger Tots Nursery and Wellness Centre along with with their partner Roar Wellness will be hosting a free event to support mental and emotional wellness in Kirkby on Saturday 18 September.

Also taking part will be Liverpool Football Club who will be running workshops on physical fitness, mental health and nutrition. 

The event will be a fun day focused on wellbeing, with great activities for all such as samba drumming classes, multisport with LFC, taekwondo, yoga, forest school and mindfulness plus lots of creative activites for familes and children.

There will be workshops on nutrition, food, diet and healthy eating and an opportunity to meet some of the great service providers in the Kirkby area to see what they have to offer the community, to support emotional and mental health. 

ROAR Wellness is a community interest company founded in 2020 as a response to community needs brought on through the global pandemic Covid 19. They work very closely with their wellbeing champion partners to create a seamless end to end support wraparound service for children, families, individuals, all public services and agencies.

ROAR was set up initially to support families and children within Knowsley that accessed their sister company Tiger Tots Nursery, during the pandemic the community needs surpassed their original planning and further services were needed, they have supported families, children, schools and the NHS with additional training and coaching programmes to improve mental and emotional wellness.

Thee event takes place on Saturday 18 September from 11.00am to 3.00pm at Tiger Tots Nursery, Simonswood Lane, Kirkby  L33 5YP
